Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly have a much envied reputation for birdwatching. Rare birds are blown off course during their migration and take an unscheduled break in Cornwall. The Lizard Peninsula is the home of breeding Choughs and Peregrine Falcons are  now well established in Cornwall. Cornwall's resident birdlife is huge and varied with waterfowl and waders as well as the magnificent birds of prey. There is nothing to compare with observing the birdlife of Cornwall in such a beautiful natural environment.

Close to Kenegie Manor are many birdwatching sites but two of the very best sites in the U.K. are right on the doorstep at Hayle Estuary and at Marazion Marshes. Both sites are RSPB Nature Reserves and are easily accessed by road just a matter of a few miles from Kenegie Manor.
